SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Kondylenia Dimitriadou
I hold a degree from the Department of History and Archaeology of the Faculty of Philosophy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1995) and a Master’s Degree from the Inter-State, Inter-Institutional, Inter-Departmental Postgraduate Program “Psycho-pedagogical, Didactic & Intercultural Approaches to Humanities” of the Department of Language, Literature and Culture of the Black Sea Countries of the School of Classical and Humanistic Studies of the Democritus University of Thrace (2025). As part of the above Master’s program, I participated in the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Mobility (BIP) program at the University of Sinop, Turkey, entitled “Fostering Interdisciplinary Approaches on Sinop Studies: Historical, Archaeological and Cultural Heritage” (2025).
From October 7, 2021, to the present, I have been a permanent member of Special Technical Laboratory Staff in the Department of Humanities of the School of Humanities at the Democritus University of Thrace, assigned to the Greek Language Teaching Laboratory as C2/Foreign Language.
I have worked as a permanent employee at the Regional Development Fund of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (2018-2021) and at the Rodopi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2009-2017), as a contract employee at the Public Power Corporation, at the 19th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities, at the Study and Career Liaison Office of the Democritus University of Thrace, at the Komotini Society of Educational Sciences, and as a founding member of the consulting firm “METRON CONSULTANTS”. I have been teaching Greek literature courses to middle and high school students for twenty years, at the “2001 Orosimo” educational center and at the Technical Vocational School of the Komotini Hospital. I have also worked at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Komotini, particularly in the organization, operation and guided tours of exhibition spaces and at the law office of Mr. G.K. Karagiannidis in the city of Thessaloniki.
My interests relate to archaeology, folklore, the history of Asia Minor and Pontic Hellenism, the field research at archaeological sites in Thrace and elsewhere in Greece, Turkey and Italy and the preparation and publication of related writings.
